Below is a list of book series I either want to read or have stopped reading.
Ruinous Love Trilogy - Brynne Weaver 1/3
Duskwalker Brides - Opal Reyne 1/6
The Dark Tower - Stephen King this will be a re-read 1/7
The Wayfarers - Becky Chambers 2/4
Themis Files - Sylvain Neuvel 1/3
Dark Lord Davi - Django Wexler 1/2
Chaotic Orbits - Beth Revis 1/3
Cassidy Blake Series - V.E. Schwab 3/3
Fractured Fables - Alix E. Harrow 2/2
Monsters Of Grimlake - Salem Sinclair 6/6
Monk & Robot - Becky Chambers 2/2
The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells 7/7
Blight Harbor - Lora Senf 3/3
The Gravekeeper Series - Darcy Coates 5/5
Legends & Lattes - Travis Baldress 2/2
Wayward Children - Seanan McGuire 10/10 (skipping book 6 - on my soft DNF list)
All The Stars and Teeth - Adalyn Grace - There is only 2 books in this series so far & I really could care less if there will be more. I trudged through the 2nd book to say I finished & I really shouldn't have. DNF in 2024
Narnia - C.S. Lewis - It's not as fantastical as I remember. Also the underlying message pisses me off. DNF in 2024
Highlander - Karen Marie Moning - I have read this series & wanted to re-read it. I got 2 books read & doubt I'll read more despite still loving the series. DNF in 2024
Fever - Karen Marie Moning - Not in the mood to read drama & angst, even if it is by Karen Marie Moning. DNF in 2023
Storm Boys - N.R. Walker - 0.5 of the series was boring. Maybe I should have started at 1, but I didn't. DNF in 2024
Holly Gibney - Stephen King - I am not really not crime books, even if they are by Stephen King. I DNF'd The Outsider. DNF in 2023
An Ember In The Ashes - Sabaa Tahir - It's too much angst & drama for me as of April 2024. I do have it marked on my DNF page as one I may try again in the future. DNF in 2024
Emily Wilde - Heather Fawcett - I got about half way through the 1st book and got severely annoyed by how the author seemed to try too hard to make sure we know Emily was neurodivergent. I'm pretty sure it annoyed me so bad as I am way beyond neuro divergent myself. It is marked as a try to re-read in the future though. DNF in 2023
A Court of Thorns and Roses - Sarah J. Maas - I was really going to try to read this, and it sounds good despite what I read online about it. However, I get a feeling it will bring up some really bad memories & I am in no frame of mind to handle that emotional upheaval. This goes for any series related to ACOTAR. DNF in 2024
Bob & Nikki - Jerry Boyd - There are so many books in this series. I don't have Kindle Unlimited anymore, so this series is over for me. DNF in 2024
Mead Mishaps - Kimberly Lemming THe library doesn't have all the books and I have no other way to get them. If they ever come to my library I will pick the series back up. DNF in 2025
The Good Girls Guide To Murder - Holly Jackson - Crime boos aren't really my thing. I tried it with the one novella, but it just wasn't for me. DNF in 2024
Dragon Point - Eve Langlais - I started this out of order. I might try it one day if I can find the start of the series in the library. DNF in 2024
The Lily SInger Adventures - LInda Sherrer - I started this out of order. Its a crime mystery solver series and not my thing. DNF in 2024
But, what does DNF mean? It's an acronym for Did Not Finish.
Why did you not finish that book series though? I decided in late 2023 or very early 2024 I would stop reading books if I could not get into them by 30% in. I could stop reading earlier as well if I just couldn't get into a book. If it is a book in a series, I've also decided to stop reading that series.
