The beginning ch3 in each round counts as a dc.

The ch1 in the beginning of a row does not count as a stitch.

BLANKET BORDER

You will always start a side with the right side facing you. Sometimes you won't end it with the right side facing you and that is fine.

SIDE 1

Row 1: With CB join with a sl st to any ch 2 sp, ch21, turn.

Row 2: skipping 1ch it does NOT count as a stitch working in BLO sc in next 20 ch, attatch to dc with a sl st, sl st in next st counts as the ch1 you use to turn when working form the other side of the row, turn

Row 3: Working BLO sc in next 20 sts, ch1 turn

Row 4: Working in BLO sc in next 20 sts, attach to same dc as last sl st from prev rnd, sl st to next st counts as the ch1 you use to turn when working form the other side of the row, turn

Repeat row 3 & row 4 until you come to the ch2 sp. Finish off

SIDES 2, 3, & 4

These sides are worked much like side 1 except you start in the edge of previous side not attached to the blanket body.

Row 1: With CB join with a sl st to the 1st empty sc closest to the edge of side 1 not attatched to the blanket body., ch21, turn.

Repeat row 3 & row 4 until you come to the ch2 sp or until there are no more stitches to attach to. Finish off.
