Review:

At first I thought this book was going to be a boring mystery that I wouldn't be able to finish.  I read that others say to keep with it & I am so glad I did!  I have been researching about DID a lot for the past couple years.  Reading all I can about it.  All because I have memory issues.  From what I have researched this book lets you get into the head space of a person with DID.

I couldn't help but fall in love with all the characters.  Even Ted & Dee.  It took about 1/3 of the book to get the idea Lauren had DID.  It wasn't until Olivia found out they where alters of Ted's that I also got that idea.  All the way up until the alters started to become aware of each other, I really thought Ted was the killer of LuLu.

This book is one of the best books I have read this year.  I dare say it would be a reread in a few years.

Goodreads Description:

Catriona Ward's The Last House on Needless Street is a shocking and immersive read perfect for fans of Gone Girl and The Haunting of Hill House.

In a boarded-up house on a dead-end street at the edge of the wild Washington woods lives a family of three.

A teenage girl who isn’t allowed outside, not after last time.

A man who drinks alone in front of his TV, trying to ignore the gaps in his memory.

And a house cat who loves napping and reading the Bible.

An unspeakable secret binds them together, but when a new neighbor moves in next door, what is buried out among the birch trees may come back to haunt them all.
